Lo Malo de ser Presidente de EE.UU.

Lo malo de ser presidente de los Estados Unidos es la impaciencia de su electorado, y el implacable ataque permanente de sus detractores políticos.

Yo no me explico cómo una persona se "mata" para ganarse la presidencia de los EE.UU. con tantos problemas que uno no sabría por dónde empezar; cuando la gente lo que quiere es tener tranquilidad, no tener ninguna clase de preocupaciones, dedicarse a ver televisión o hacer dinero lo más fácilmente posible.

Pues vea usted amigo lector, que todabía hay personas con vocación de servicio a la comunidad. Este es el caso del Presidente Electo Barack Obama, quien primero ganó las primarias de su partido, en la contienda más competida en toda la historia del partido demócrata, y posteriormente vencer en franca lid a su contrincante del partido republicano. A estas alturas parecería que otra persona tiraría la "toalla".

Pero no, este señor tan flaquito no sé de dónde saca tanta fuerza para continuar, y cada vez con más ímpetu, la siguiente etapa. Ahora, después de haber ganado la nominación de su partido y antes de su inaguración como presidente de los EE.UU., se dedicó a buscar y nombrar los funcionarios públicos que lo acompañarán en su odisea presidencial, que a propósito, ha conformado un equipo de trabajo de lo más brillante que se consigue en este país. Ha logrado combinar sabiamente la preparación académica con la experiencia, para atacar los grandes problemas que agobian a nuestro querido país.

Hasta ahora todo bien para Mr. Obama, pero la luna de miel no durará mucho tiempo. Los primeros cien días de su gobierno van a ser escrutados no con lupa, sino con microscopio. Habrá gente que querrá que todos los problemas que tiene el país sean arreglados en este corto lapso. A estas personas hay que recordarles que las actividades del presidente Obama se están organizando en prioridades de corto, mediano y largo plazo. Sí es una tradición que los presidentes muestren ciertos resultados en los primeros cien días de su gobierno... y estoy absolutamente seguro que esto va a suceder.

Como todos sabemos, en un principio, y no se sabe hasta cuándo, todos los esfuerzos del nuevo gobierno estarán enfocados a la problemática de la famosa crisis económica. Vean cómo cambian las prioridades... hasta hace un mes o un poco más, la crisis económica no tenía esa prioridad, porque no se sabía a ciencia cierta la gravedad del problema. Lo importante aquí, es tener la flexibilidad y capacidad de respuesta rápida a estas nuevas necesidades que no pueden esperar.

Una cosa interesante de todo ésto es que se está tratando de organizar lo que se tenía previsto hacer en las áreas de seguridad, salud, impuestos, educación, empleo, infraestructura, etc., dentro del plan que resolverá la primera parte de la crisis económica. Y una cosa que sí ha cambiado totalmente desde la campaña presidencial es lo que tiene que ver con el déficit fiscal del gobierno federal, no habrá tal cosa de combatir el déficit. En este campo ha habido un cambio total de mentalidad, de enfoque, en lo que se relaciona con el gasto público, en donde ya se sabe que para combatir la crisis económica hay necesidad de aumentar la inversión pública, lo cual hará aumentar, aún más, el déficitl fiscal federal de la nación en cuantías desproporcionadas históricamente.

Pero habrá gente que no entiende esto...y van a cerrar filas contra el gobierno porque "bogas y porque no bogas". Es muy duro y sobre todo muy desagradecido cuando se trabaja fuerte y aún así se reciben críticas sin suficientes elementos de juicio, causando muchas veces problemas adicionales para cumplir los objetivos propuestos, porque estas críticas la mayoría de las veces quitan mucho tiempo a los funcionarios del gobierno que tienen que ir al Congreso, por dar un ejemplo, para explicar una y otra vez todo lo que se está haciendo.

De todas maneras no sobra decir que hay que tener paciencia y a los detractores políticos que le den al gobierno del presidente Barack Obama la oportunidad de mostrar resultados, e iría un poco más allá... ayudar, aportar para que este cambio histórico pueda tener éxito.

I can not understand how a person work so hard to win the U.S. presidency with so many problems you would not know where to start when people just want to have peace, not having any kind of concerns for watching television or making money as easily as possible.

For you see dear reader, that there are still people with vocation to serve the community. This is the case of the President Elect Barack Obama, who first won the primaries of his party in the most competitive contest in the history of the Democratic Party, and then beat in a good fight to his opponent in the Republican Party. At this point it would seem that someone would pull the "towel."

But no... this man so skinny I do not know where from he gets energy to continue, and with increasing momentum, the next stage. Now, after winning his party's nomination and before his inauguration as U.S. president, began to seek out and appoint public officials who will accompany him on his presidential odyssey, by the way, has formed a team of the most brilliant minds in this country. He has cleverly managed to combine the academic with experience, to tackle the big problems that plague our beloved country.

So far so good for President Obama, but the honeymoon did not last long. The first hundred days of his administration will not be examined under an eye glass, but under a microscope. There will be people who want all the problems the country has to be solved in such a short period. These people should be reminded that Obama's activities are being organized as priorities for short, medium and long term. It is a tradition for presidents to show certain results in the first hundred days of his administration ... and I am absolutely sure this will happen.

As we all know, at first, and who knows for how long, all efforts by the new government will deal with the problem of the famous economic crisis. See how priorities change ... until a month or a little more, the economic crisis did not have that priority, because no one knew for sure the severity of the problem. The important thing here is to have the flexibility and rapid response to these new needs that can not wait.

An interesting thing about all this is that it is trying to organize what were planned in the areas of safety, health, taxes, education, employment, infrastructure, etc.., Within the plan that will solve the first part of the economic crisis . And one thing that has changed completely since the presidential campaign is what it has to do with the federal government's fiscal deficit, there is no such thing as fighting the deficit.
